Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) is a well- known Buddhist pilgrimage site in Mon State, Burma. It is a beautiful small pagoda (7.3 metres, 24 ft) impressively built on the top of a granite boulder and covered with golden leaves that were pasted on by its male devotees. According to legend, the Golden Rock itself is precariously perched on a strand of the Buddha‘s hair. The spectacular balancing rock seems to defy gravity, as it perpetually appears to be on the verge of rolling down the hill. The rock and the pagoda both sit at the top of Mt. Kyaiktiyo.

After a restful night’s sleep, we will rise early to enjoy the unmissable morning sunrise at Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) before leisurely descending the mountain and boarding our transport back to base camp.
Enjoy a comfortable drive to Hpa An, the capital of Kayin state. Here we will take some time to explore our magnificent surroundings, the most famous being Kawgun Cave and Bayint Ni Naung Cave.
After Lunch we will visit the breath taking Sadan Cave which is stunningly covered in beautiful Buddha statues and images making it truly unique. After taking some time in this interesting cave, we will take a pleasant boat ride across a small, picturesque lake which will lead us back to the front of the cave.
Following our explorations at the caves we will head to the beautiful Lumbini garden. Located at the foot of Zwegabin Mountain, Lumbini garden offers the perfect opportunity for us to rest and unwind before heading to the unique hilltop pagoda of Kyauk Kalap.
As the evening falls on a day of adventures, we will enjoy sunset views from the Shwe Yin Myaw Pagoda before returning to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Hpa An.

After a restful night’s sleep at your comfortable hotel, we will pick you up to head out for your exciting TukTuk excursion (three-wheels motorcycle) on the Main Road. Following a safety briefing, put on your provided helmet and hop on your mountain bike. Following your experienced guide, we will cycle to Kyauk Ka Lat Pagoda, located about 3 miles (5 km) south of the city.
Here we will take some time to revel in the dramatic beauty of this unique pagoda perched on top of a large rock, surrounded by stunning hills and a manmade lake before continuing on to the beautiful Lumbini garden at the foot of Mt. Zwegabin for a photo stop.
We will have the unique opportunity to ride past a Kayin village. Your local, experienced guide will be on hand to tell you about the lifestyle of the local people as you make your way back to the starting point, where you'll return your bike.
We will cycle down village streets and enjoy a leisurely journey with mostly easily cycling and smooth roads. On our journey, we will stop to listen to stories from different tribes and learn about their beliefs. We will also take the opportunity to stop at some scared sites and enjoy the fantastic views across mountains and rolling countryside.
A delicious home cooked lunch is included in a local village.
Following a leisurely ride through beautiful green valleys and lush scenery, we will arrive back to Hpa An to enjoy the evening.

Enjoy a hearty, hotel breakfast before departing to Hpa-An at 7:00 AM and heading to Bago.
Today’s journey takes us to Bago to visit Kyikepun, the famous four faces pagoda which is over a thousand years old.
We will also take some time to visit the impressive Shwemawdaw Pagoda whose spire is even taller than that of the famous Shwedagon Pagoda.
We will then continue on to spend some time marvelling at the 55 m long Shwethalyaung reclining pagoda, one of Myanmar’s most sacred sites.
After learning about the Shwethalyaung pagoda, we will go on to visit the fascinating Kanbawzathadi, the palace of King Bayintnaung.
After a cultural day of sightseeing, we will head back to Yangon. If time is allow on the way, we will visit the reclusive World War II memorial site near Yangon, Htaukkyan. The Allied War Cemetery is the final resting place for over 27,000 Allied soldiers and a must see whilst we are passing.
