Day 2 -Meal ( B/L/ )

Yangon - Heho – Kalaw

After a restful night we will rise early for a morning flight to Heho before embarking on our short transfer to a comfortable hotel at the former hill station of Kalaw.

Take time to enjoy this cool and peaceful town, enjoy the scent of pine tree and the old colonial feel.

After a local lunch, we will get ready for an adventurous afternoon riding bicycles through the countryside of Kalaw. There is no better way to see these stunning surroundings than by bicycle. This off-road ride provides the picture-perfect introduction to the region and the ideal opportunity to warm up your legs with some uphill cycling.

Day 3 -Meal (B /L/ )

Kalaw - Indein - Inle Lake

Let’s hop on our bicycles and enjoy a fabulous ride down to the famous Inle Lake. Today we will cycle many kilometers but sweeping downhills and Burmese countryside make it an incredibly picturesque ride.

After a delicious local lunch, we will make a stop at Indein Village. Here there are hundreds of pagodas dating back to the 14th century. We will take some time to enjoy these breath-taking scenes before continuing on to the beautiful inland waters of Nyaung Shwe on the north of the lake.

Day 4 -Meal ( B/L/)

Inle Lake

Today we have the whole day to explore the famous Inle Lake. We will explore every corner possible, from both the shore and the waters.

We will stretch our legs this morning with a relaxing ride along the shore, through local villages and past endless temples.

After a lakeside lunch we’ll hop on board a cruise to start our on-water adventure. We will get fully immersed in the beauty of Inle Lake, passing through floating gardens and monasteries before arriving at Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda.

Look out for the Intha fishermen. A sight to behold, these famous fishermen row their boats with only one leg.

This evening we will unwind with a vineyard visit at sunset in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 5 - Meal (B / /)

Inle Lake – Pindaya

  • Total cycling hour- approx : 5 hours

This morning we will say goodbye and depart the unforgettable Inle Lake and head back up to the Shan Plateau.

Shan state covers almost a quarter of the whole of Myanmar and is home to several, interesting ethnic groups. We will hop on our bikes and enjoy an adventurous up and down ride over paved paths and dirt roads. Work those legs on one rewarding 10 km long climb with a gentle gradient before being rewarded with our stunning destination of Pindaya. Pindaya is home to beautiful limestone caves that house thousands of ancient Buddha images.

We will take time to explore the caves and surrounding area before heading back to Hotel in Pindaya.

Day 6 - Meal (B / / )

Pindaya – Mandalay

  • Ywa Ngan to Mandalay transfer by car approx: 2 hour

Another beautiful morning for cycling. Today we will head out into Burma’s second city, Mandalay.

Enjoy a blissful ride through patchworks of fields, local villages and a long descent. Say hello to children and their families as they wave excitedly.

On our arrival in Ywa Ngan, we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch break before loading the bikes for a short and comfortable transfer to Mandalay.

Day 7 - Meal (B / / )

Mandalay

  • Total distance cycled- 45 km on flat, paved roads that may be broken in some sections.

Today we will explore the magnificent city of Mandalay.

This city of ancient splendor was created by King Mingdom Ming in 1857 and remained a city of splendor until 1885 before much of it was tragically destroyed by a fire during the second world war. Today, the city is multicultural, neatly planned, its lettered and numbered streets are a British creation and it is a thriving trade center with China and India.

We’ll kick off our exploration with an enjoyable cycle to the sprawling Shwe Inn Bin Monastery. Constructed in 1895 of teak wood with a beautiful tiered roof and exquisite carvings, the monastery is representative of traditional Burmese style and home to over 30 monks.

After spending some time here, we will head to the beautiful Mahamuni Temple. Here lays the holiest Buddha artifact in Mandalay.

We will then move on to visit a marble carving workshop where we will have the unique opportunity to see workers practicing this traditional trade and hand carving spectacular Buddha images. We will take the time to visit a few other workshops where we can learn about ancient royal handicrafts, tapestry and puppet making before a lunch break at a local tea shop.

After a delicious local lunch, we will continue our explorations at a gold leaf production house where we can learn about this ancient craft and make some for ourselves.

This afternoon we will visit Shwenandaw Monastery, the ‘golden palace’. A grand example of 19th Century Burmese architecture, the monastery is beautifully gilded with gold, adorned with glass mosaic and home to impressive carvings of Buddhist myths.

Our final stop today will be the Kuthodaw Pagoda, home to the world’s largest book and made out of stunning marble tablets.

Today finishes with a glorious cycle along the old city walls before reaching the hotel in time for sunset.

Day 8 - Meal ( B/L/ )

Mandalay - Sagaing - Mingun – Mandalay

  • Total cycling hour- approx:5 hours

This morning we will head outside of Mandalay and over the Irrawaddy River to explore the exciting towns of Sagaing and Mingun.

The U Bein Bridge is a sight to behold. The longest teak bridge in Asia and our first cycle stop of the day, the bridge offers magnificent photo opportunities.

After spending some time here, we will continue our ride along the river and past Sagaing, an important religious and monastic center and home to numerous monasteries and stupas.

Today continues to be utterly photogenic as we continue on to Mingun and take the opportunity to visit the ancient ruins of Pahtodawgi. This unique unfinished stupa would have been the largest in world if it had been completed, nonetheless, it remains impressive. We will also make time to visit the Mingun Bell. Weighing in at 90 tonnes, the Mingun bell is the largest ringing bell in the world.

For lunch we will feast on local specialties before kicking back and relaxing with a tranquil downstream boat ride to Mandalay.

Day 9 - Meal (B / / )

Mandalay - Pyinsi - Mt. Popa

  • Total cycling hour- approx : 3.5 hours

This morning, prepare for an early, short transfer to Tada U and an enjoyable cycle into the capital of the ancient Ava Kingdom.

Here we will explore remnants of the old city wall that stood between 1364 and 1555. We will continue our cycle through picturesque fields of millet, sesame, cotton, peas and beans before arriving in the town of Pyinsi. Here we will pack up the bikes for a comfortable two-hour transfer to Mt. Popa.

Day 10 - Meal (B/ /)

Today will be our first day off the bikes, the perfect time to stretch our walking legs.

After a local breakfast we will climb almost 900 steps to reach the top and Popa Taung Kalat, a temple that is home to Burma’s most revered nats (spirits). During our ascent, we will pass dozens of nat shrines and the pilgrims that come to honor them. Don’t forget your camera, because when we reached the top prepare to be rewarded by breath-taking, panoramic views of the surrounding region.

The rest of the day is free for you to explore or relax at your leisure. Make use of the hotel’s infinity pool or get adventurous on one of the many, local hiking trails. The choice is yours.

Day 11 - Meal (B/ / )

Mt. Popa – Bagan

Kick off the day with a delicious breakfast and unforgettable views before starting our easy decent.

Enjoy the scenic cycle as we snake around the mountain and take in the views, palm gardens, rice paddies, villages and water buffaloes.

Today ends with our arrival into the magical Bagan, an ancient city littered with thousands of temples along the banks of the Irrawaddy River.

Check in to your comfortable hotel with refreshing pool for a cool down.

Day 12 - Meal (B / / )

Bagan Temples

The perfect way to explore Bagan is by bicycle.

After breakfast we will take an exciting morning cycle around this fascinating Archaeological Zone. After some morning temple hopping, as the heat gets up, we will return to the hotel to relax at the pool.

Enjoy this evenings sunset against a stunning backdrop of temples. Climb to the top of a temple for truly unforgettable views across the temple studded plains.

Day 13 - Meal (B / /D)

Bagan to Yangon

After a restful night’s sleep, we will take a comfortable transfer to the airport for our flight back Yangon.

On arrival back to Yangon, we’ll jump in a trishaw and ride into downtown Yangon to enjoy the stunning Shwedagon Paya at dusk.

Tonight, we will feast on delicious local cuisine for a farewell dinner.

Day 14 - Meal (B / / )

Yangon

Enjoy some shopping this morning at Bogyoke Aung San market before heading to the airport for conclusion of you tour, farewells and memories to last a lifetime.
